There is something very distinct about Vasant Vihar. It is a unique blend of the old and new, government and private domains, traditional and global lifestyles. This locality has the unusual distinction of hosting 19 schools with over 10,000 students, and also close to 50 embassies and missions – perhaps the only such locality in the world! While Vasant Vihar is home to some of the richest and most powerful individuals in the country, it is also organically connected to surrounding urban villages and bastis, some of which pre-date Vasant Vihar.

Having completed over 50 years of existence as a residential locality, a group of Vasant Vihar residents set out to chronicle this neighbourhood’s journey over the years.
